Floating Aliens is the collaborative project of Dragan Capor (DC), musician, remixer, and producer, and Kahlid, songwriter and musician. Together they mash up everything from dub reggae and experimental pop to funky breaks and cinematic grooves, creating a sound that defies genre while chasing the perfect beat.
The two first crossed paths in Los Angeles in 2004 during a recording session. After years of working together on other artists’ projects, they discovered a shared vision: music without categories, guided by instinct rather than trend. That spark became Floating Aliens – a frequency where borders vanish and sound travels like a signal from deep space.
“Working together on other artists’ projects made us realize we understood each other musically,” adds DC. “So when we began Floating Aliens, it wasn’t a big deal, we just got to work.”
Since then, the duo has written, remixed, and co-produced everything from industrial hard rock to mushroom jazz. Their recordings and live concepts are immersive journeys, merging sound, visuals, and atmosphere into experiences that feel at once familiar and otherworldly.
Part band, part concept, part ongoing experiment, Floating Aliens are extraterrestrial architects of groove, beaming in sound for those ready to step outside the usual orbit.
