13–70 (Detached Roots) is an art project by Dragan Capor rooted in movement, memory, and transformation. The project takes its name from an old Renault truck, one of the first vehicles registered in Dubrovnik under the number 13–70, once owned by Dragan’s father. A photograph of his father beside the truck became the quiet trigger for the work.
What began as a license plate became a symbol of endurance, inherited strength, and the freedom to move forward without losing connection to one’s roots. In 13–70, roots are not anchors but living forces, able to lift, evolve, and grow.
As these roots transform, they spread like mycelium: an invisible network of memory, connection, and shared growth, open to collaboration and the meeting of diverse creative paths. The project invites other artists to join this expanding network, allowing new forms, voices, and interpretations to emerge.
The resin works unfold across seven phases, following the arc of the Hero’s Journey, from the first inner call, through descent and illumination, to return and integration.
